Biography

Thomas More was born on February 7, 1478 in Milk Street London to parents, John and Agnes Moore. His father was a butler as his father was before him. John wanted to be a lawyer and the opportunity came when he married Jane Colt. They had four children together but three died very young.

He then married Alice Middleton. This lead to his career growth and to the Londons undershare in 1511. He was well-liked  and was admitted to a group of practicing lawers. Thomas' education began at St. Anthony's at a London school. In 1490 Thomas entered the household of Archbishop John Morton. His mother and father's connections made this possible. In 1498 he gained membership into Lincolns inn.

More was kept from going to heaven and beatifyed, and canonized with John Fisher after a petition of english catholics. His convection of treason was seen by many as unfair.  More was a great historical character in english history.
